This weekend's Spotlight Film Festival was an amazing sucess with screenings running until 10:00pm on Saturday night. We had some great press coverage with a story in the Journal Sentinel, the Chicago Tribune, and even as far out as Dallas, Texas. Founders James Carlson and Dominic Inouye had a great interview on WUWM's Lake Effect and on Saturday afternoon CBS showed up to film the attendees and interview James. The grand prize winner was Dominique Smith's Night at the Video Store. And wait until you see the photos of his face when he won.
There's been a little tweak to the Saturday, October 18th event. We've decided we'd rather say a BIG thank you to all of the volunteers who helped us get ready for Barcampmilwaukee3 and the Spotlight Student Film Festival. You all did amazing work. The Night of the Living Dead Zombie Puppet show will be playing an 8:00 and a 10:00pm, there will be music, tours, and fun stuff. The event will be open to public with a suggested donation at the door. We hope to see you there!
We're gearing up for the Haunted House at the beginning of November. Want to volunteer to help decorate? Email jenn@bucketworks.org.
