­At the end of August, our dear summ­er intern Emily Meinhardt set off for her journey across the pond to spend a semester in Ireland. For the fall semester we have 3 new interns to introduce: Cassandra Crosby who will be reviving the Open Art program, as well as two marketing and PR interns - Morgan Anderson and Tyler Accardi. Everybody g­ive them a warm welcome and follow them on twitter.

Taking a look at the calendar there is a lot going on these days. We're excited about the Eye Work fashion show and we've added a Physical Wiki Saturday (click here to register) on the last weekend of the month. The idea of a wiki website is that it allows users to freely create and edit Web page content­. To rebuild our space, we're applying that idea to the Bucketworks space itself. We've scheduled this to help us finish up preparation for what promises to be a HUGE series of events kicking off with BarCampMilwaukee3, which Bucketworks is proud to host. To get ready for this 2-day technology un-conference the Bucketworks internet has gotten a "3 Meg down and 3 Meg up facelift!" Which means that more members can use the internet at the same time - upload photos, videos to YouTube 6x's faster than your home connection.

We're excited about our Grand Opening on October 18th and all the events to follow. We hope you are too. So, mark your calendars off as busy for member movie night with the zombie puppet show and the haunted house to follow the next weekend.
