The Bucketworks Wishlist
A number of people have said to us that they can't afford to donate much money, but they would love to donate their stuff or their time. Below please find a list ranging from physical items, volunteer opportunities, and large long-term goals that you can help with.
Hardware
* Better computers: an interface to our information that would allow everyone who is a member to be connected digitally
* Flashier outdoor signage "Let's draw attention to the difference between"
* large numbers of identical storage containers, preferably transparent
* indoor and outdoor paint
* working inventory of art supplies
* scaffolding
* a rolling lockable, large sized tool cart
* a professional set of hand tools
* two nice indoor carpet vacuums
* a professional cleaning cart
* a full gamut of industrial and office-style cleaning supplies
* a mailbox with multiple drawers for pro members
* a smartboard
* flatscreens--even smaller ones
* another three projectors, so we can mount them in place and have one mobile unit
* Theatrical lighting control systems with motors and computers
* large-sized box fans (like several feet in diameter style shop fan)
* dehumidifiers for the dance area
Basic Supplies such as:
-scissors
-tape of nearly any kind
- glue
- cordless screwdrivers
- paint brushes (the kind that go on rollers)
-
incandescent and halogen lightbulbs
- any kind of track lighting
Software
* More professional member blog updates-- more activity on the website
* A page that describes the ordering of the media and marketing
* create a digital lightroom-- media editing capabilities for the professional members, with complete integration
People
* Help create a system for organizing art supplies
* Help create physical computer spaces, more solid, more used, being able to go to a comptuer and search archives-- so more pre-set activity stations for computing activities
* Publicity team of some sort
* Assist with the creation of advisory boards: sustainability/green, marketing, engineering/architecture, fundraising
* Adding sustainability to our philosophy and mission statement, policy, driven by a team
* More volunteers-- and more specifity around the collection of volunteer information-- a historical backfill of detialed profile information about members
* the names of some people who work at local colleges who help people find jobs just out of graduation
* help installing the security system
* a team to design a group of artventures that can take place inside Bucketworks
* a team to design the kinderconference room
The Big Stuff
* enough money for a 3x3 highspeed connection for 1 year
* four tub sink for the cafe
* air conditioning in the playspace
* bathrooms in the playspace
* team to organize obtaining our alcohol permit
